Born as Barbara Pierce, she is also known the wife of the 41st President of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush with whom she shared six children; Jeb Bush, Dorothy Bush Koch, Neil Bush, Pauline Robinson Bush, Marvin Bush and also the 43rd President of the United States, George Walker Bush.
Bush grew up with her siblings, Martha Pierce, James Pierce, and Scott Pierce and grew up in New York City. The young Barbara held interests in reading, sports such as tennis, swimming, and bike riding. Also, she received her education from the Milton Public School (1931-1937), Rye Country Day School (1938-1940) and girls-only school, Ashley Hall (1940-1943).

First Meeting Of Barbara & George
Barbara first laid her eyes on George when she was only sixteen and like in the movie, the two happened to meet at a dance during a family Christmas holiday. Not to mention, the young teenagers instantly hit it off.
The two went to two different schools but no distance ever caused any issues to their romance. Their love even was tested when Bush had to participate in World War II. But, the Universe knew they were meant to find their way back to each other.
Barbara & George's Marriage
Before George left for the Pacific where he served as a naval bomber, he knew he had to find ways to make Barbara officially his. So, he got down on his knees and proposes Barbara to marry him. The event took place in 1944. George even dedicated three of his planes with writing Barbara's names on it.
The couple exchanged letters to stay in touch. After George returned on a leave, he finally married her. Their wedding took place on 6th January 1945 at the First Presbyterian Church in Rye, New York.
On their next journey of life, the couple shifted homes around the states from Michigan to Virginia to Maryland with their beautiful family of eight. Sadly, Barbara bore the loss of her child, Robin who died at the age of only 3 from leukemia.
Barbara and George remained together for more than seven decades till death tore them apart. Barbara died in April just seven earlier her husband passed away the same year. And before bed every night, George always told Barbara he loved her.
