Surgery, Bankruptcy, Prison, and Cancer, life has been full of ups and downs for the Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller. But, impressively, the woman knows how to stand strong against everything that life put her through.
Miller is back on the dancing show after previously serving eight months in jail and being diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and paralysis. From what we have witnessed so far, the woman is still tough.
To be precise, Miller was in jail when she lost more than 100 Ibs, but after the cancer diagnosis, she went back to her original weight shape and size.

For her rudeness and strictness, the American dance instructor has also been charged with a lawsuit from one of her former dancers in claims for emotional distress and harassment. But, that was a long time ago and Miller and her tv show producers have moved on from the cases as they were later dropped.

Abby Lee Miller Underwent The Knife In April 2017
The year 2017 was definitely the year everything turned down for Miller. It was only in April the same year, the dancing guru decided to get a gastric bypass surgery (a.k.a. bariatric surgery) to shed Ibs, despite knowing she would be going to jail soon. Miller had a large portion of her stomach removed for the reduction of her weight.

Not long after the surgery, Miller who was shockingly charged with bankruptcy and smuggling case was thrown inside the prison. The cases claim Miller failed to report at least a minimum of $13000 of Australian currency she brought to the US.
That is not the only legal trouble Miller has faced though. The previous year, Miller pleaded guilty of hiding her earning of more than $700,000 from her dancing show and other income from business endorsements. The court decided to jail Abby for a year and a day. Besides, Miller also had to pay a massive amount of fine.
In addition, Miller previously lost weight in a gradual level after the death of her mother, Mary Lorrain Miller in 2015. When the audience doubted she underwent surgery, Abby denied claiming ''That would have been easy".
Miller Lost More Than 125 Ibs In Prison
While life at the prison is, of course, no fun, Miller says her jail experience being anything but torturous. According to Miller, she had her thyroid and diabetes medication taken away on the very first day. Her extension eyelashes were also forcefully ripped off her eyes.

Besides, after learning that she was a popular woman from the tv, the guards isolated her and would mistreat by spraying her clothes with a soda can.
As Abby Miller served her sentence in prison, the actress lost a near weight of more than 100 Ibs. But, around six months later when she fell seriously ill to the point that she couldn't even move, the dancing Queen learned the tragic news that she was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Miller was released without completing her full sentence.
The Dance Moms teacher was admitted to hospital as the tumor formed around her spinal, that left her paralyzed in a wheelchair, had to be removed. Luckily, Miller was finally cancer-free after more than 8 chemotherapy sessions and surgeries.
Abby Miller's diagnosis with cancer and paralysis gained her around 50 Ibs right after she lost 100 Ibs. But, her current main focus, clearly, lies on the recovery of her health.
